Quick Decor Tips

Are you looking for décor tips that can be done quickly while producing incredible results? Keep in mind that you do not need to have a degree in Interior Design to make your home look amazingly beautiful. All you need is some creativity and a little guidance, which we have provided below for you to use.

Start by rearranging your furniture. As simple as that might sound, simply changing the position of the room can make all the difference in the world. Instead of keeping the bed flat against the wall, if the room is large enough, consider putting it at an angle. If your sofa usually sits flush with the fireplace, why not put it at a subtle angle. You will be amazed at the difference by making such a small change.

Change the color of the room with a fresh coat of paint. As simple as that sounds, changing white walls to a sunny yellow, dusty blue, vibrant red, or whatever color you choose will bring life to any room.

Add greenery to the room. Bringing in fresh plants will also bring life to the room and create a beautiful look that is perfect for any style of room. If you do not have the time or skill to grow fresh greenery, silk flowers and plants look so real telling them apart is almost impossible.

Consider buying a beautiful area rug. This is an excellent way to add color and character to a room without making huge changes. Although there is a little more investment with an area rug, the investment is worth every dime for the drama it will create.

Hang a grouping of mirrors. If you have a fireplace, one large fireplace would be great but on a wall, a nice grouping of mirrors would create a neutral focal point. Just be sure you keep the number odd 3, 5, 7, and so on.

The same wold be for figurines or any type of collection. Rather than have a few here and a few there, these would look for better and make a greater statement if you keep them displayed as a group.

Throw pillows on the sofa, chair, and even on the floor are an excellent way to add accents to your room. The great thing about pillows is that they can be used to stand out and add a pop of color or they can almost blend in with the furniture, creating a simple elegance.

Take a good look at the lamps in your room. If they are old or no longer fit in with the décor, now is the time to change them. Choose lamps that go with the décor but that will also go with future décor. The best option is to choose a neutral lamp but then change out the lampshade to make a decorating statement.
